is used in the progressive when it describes temporary

Adjs that can be used with am/is/are being:

bad (ill-behaved)

follish

reponsible

nice

noisy

kind

serious

logical

Adjs that cannot be used with am/is/are + being:

angry

beautiful

handsome

How do I discipline my dog when he is being bad?

My tower is being noisy. Not that noisy, but noisier than usual (which isn't very noisy)....

I don't quite understand.

For the third example, it is clear.

However, in the fisrt example, what is the difference between "my younger brother is being nice" and "my younger brother is nice"?

Please clarify for me. Thanks

my younger brother is nice means he is always/often nice (everyday)

my younger brother is being nice means he is often nasty (not nice) but at moment of speaking, he is nice (temporary behaviour)
