Không dùng "sale off" với nghĩa "giảm giá", chúng ta dùng "on sale" hoặc "$/ % off".
a. STH + BE/GO On Sale (North American English): being sold for a lower price than usual:
All their men's clothing is on sale this week.
All video equipment is on sale today and tomorrow.
Bedding usually goes on sale in January.
Hoặc: "THE STORE + Have a sale on sth":
The shop is having a sale on appliances next week.
b. HAVE / BE ... $/% OFF = used for saying that a price has been reduced by a particular amount -> nói con số giảm cụ thể
shoes with $20 off
All shirts have/are 10% off.
There's now 30% off all swimsuits.
There's 40 % off this week on all winter coats.
There was $40 or $50 off most jackets in the store.
