Study Abroad Trends
Study abroad has undergone significant changes in recent years and is expected to continue changing as globalization becomes a part of our world. With 3.3 million students from 34 of the most developed countries studying abroad and those numbers increasing by double-digits in recent years, the rapid expansion of study abroad is unlikely to slow anytime soon. Governments, schools and students have all been increasing their focus on the benefits of studying abroad.
Making the most of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity should be a priority for students planning to study abroad. Beyond the decisions about where, when and how to study abroad, there are numerous other things students can do to make sure their trip is everything they want it to be. Having a good understanding of what to expect, knowing what decisions can make the experience more meaningful and having the information needed to make good travel decisions while abroad are all discussed in this section.
