I think "pupil" is used for everyone who study from primary school to high school. Am I right?

The pupils of a school are the children who go to it

Pupil:

+ A person who is taught in a school, his/her grade is lower than student's grade.

+ It's a black round in center of your eyes.

Is it right? I can't say for sure. Maybe I make mistakes again. Please correct me and don't laugh me if I am wrong. Thanks

Ok. From now on if you want to refer "pupil" to studens , just delete it out of your mind. Because native speakers never use the word " pupil" even though they know what it is , just say primary students, secondary students, high school student etc... instead. In additon, I see there are many English learners who get confused it with "people".

My teachers said ''student'' is more common than ''pupil''  in recent years. However, I'm not sure that native speakers use ''student'' instead of ''pupil" completely

No doubt about it. I have checked it with native speakers already so I assure you that it's right time to forget this word.
