CLOTHES & CLOTHING
Cả hai đều có nghĩa là "quần áo", tuy nhiên được dùng ở các ngữ cảnh khác nhau:
1. "Clothes" is the common word to use when you're talking about clothes that people wear.
"Clothes" là từ thông dụng dùng khi đang nói về quần áo người ta mặc.
2. Use "clothing" to talk about clothes as something that people need, more formal than "clothes".
Dùng "clothing" để nói về quần áo như là một thứ mọi người cần, trang trọng hơn "clothes".
For example:
wear clothes, buy clothes, clothes and shoes, dressed in clothes, clothes and hair, etc.
food and clothing, clothing store, wear clothing, a clothing line, shelter and clothing, etc.
3. "Clothing" is used in more general and less personal contexts, such as business and industry.
"Clothing" được dùng chung chung hơn chẳng hạn như trong thương mại và ngành công nghiệp, ít đề cập đến các tình huống riêng tư hơn.
For example, you might say that someone work is 'in the clothing industry', or that people in a disaster zone urgently need medicine, food and clothing.

4. There is no singular form of clothes (plural noun) or clothing (uncountable noun)
=> a piece/an item/an article of clothing is used to talk about one thing that you wear such as a dress or shirt.
"Clothes" (danh từ số nhiều) và "clothing" (danh từ không đếm được) không có hình thức số ít
=> "a piece/an item/an article of clothing" được dùng để nói về một thứ mà chúng ta mặc chẳng hạn như một áo đầm hoặc một áo sơ mi.
For example: He wore his best clothes to the interview.

She didn't recognize him in his everyday clothes.
