Mình nghĩ sau chữ spend nên có chữ "on" nữa mới chính xác. 

"This is the time you spend ON studying out of class each week."

OR

spend something on something 

Or

spend something

........ so " spend ...... studying or spend on your study or spend study .I think all them are ok ^^ because  "study" also is a noun

EX : - you spend too much time studying out of class lately.
 - i spent much time on my homework.
- i've spent my study out of class already.

** out of something is a adverb.

spend something on doing something is also ok :D
