1. "stuff" (uncountable noun): đồ linh tinh, chất, thứ...
a variety of objects or things; used to refer to a substance, material, group of objects, etc. when you do not know the name, when the name is not important or when it is obvious what you are talking about => được dùng để đề cập đến một chất, vật liệu, nhóm đồ vật... khi bạn không biết tên, khi tên đó không quan trọng, hoặc khi nó hiển nhiên là những gì bạn đang nói đến.

           VD: What's all that sticky stuff on the carpet?
                  The chairs were covered in some sort of plastic stuff.
                  This wine is good stuff.
                   I don't know how you can eat that stuff! (chê bai)
                   They sell stationery and stuff (like that).
                    Where's all my stuff (= my possessions)?
                    Could you move all that stuff off the table? (chê bai)

2. Trong câu "I've got a ton of stuff on my desk."
                      Tôi có cả đống đồ linh tinh trên bàn.
=> a ton of:  a very large number or amountton of: cả đống, khối...
=> a ton of + uncountable noun/count table noun

                VD: She put on about a ton of make-up.

=> tons of (=a lot of): hàng đống...
                       I've got tons of things to do.
                       Tôi có hàng đống việc phải làm.
                       They've got tons of money.
                        Họ có hàng đống tiền.
