VOCABULARY FOR TWO-WORD VERBS WITH "BEHIND"
Be behind:
1. be inferior to: thua kém. Jones was behind on points at the end of round three.
2. be late: bị trễ. Everyone seems to be behind this morning.
Drop behind/back: move or fall into position behind somebody else: tụt lại, đi lùi lại, bỏ lại.
The two lovers dropped behind so as to be alone.
Fall behind: be overtaken, fail to keep level with: bị qua mặt, không theo kịp
